I wonder what is the connection between gravity and grave? Gravitiy makes things fall in to earth. What about graveyards? Are those the places that we rest from our last fall - death? I don't know the word root but it seems like there is a connection between these two words. Anyone has any idea?

Interesting question! I'm not at all an expert, but I wonder if the similar wording is not just a coincidence. I believe "gravity" must come from "gravitas" in latin. The "grave" could have a Germanic / Nordic origin: "grave" to describe a place where you bury people is e.g. said "grav" in Swedish and "gräva" means to dig. English is a great mixture of words of latin, viking... etc. origins.
Now, how these words, as well the latin as the Germanic ones must come from somewhere... There I have no idea. Maybe an expert among the bloggers?
These look well taken care of.
Seda, you may not have the time, but you must start making some "publicity" (visit other blogs etc..) if you wish some visitors here. ... and you should have!
Thanks for your comments on my blog today!
OK, I understand that you are a very busy girl!! Do you have some time for email? My address is in my "profile".
Interesting question you pose about the grave where the "undertakers" take you. A name for those who bury you here.
One thing I noticed about Istanbul was all the cafes w/ graves sprinkled among them...a morbib but interesting way to take one's tea!
