I am at Pierre Loti...

September 4, 2007

I am back! At least for twice a week. I know I am betraying the spirit of daily photo blog but I really love this blog group and I don't want to leave it just because I am in a period that I can't find enough time to visit places, take pictures and post them here. But I am now confident that I should at least post something here twice a week. (thanks to my friend Esra- She keeps pushing me and Peter of course)

Anyways, This is the view from famous Pierre Loti. It is an ancient cafe place from Ottoman times. It is called after French writer Pierre Loti (real name was Julien Viaud). Julien Viaud visited Ottoman Empire as naval officer during 19th century and fell in love with the city of Istanbul. Then he started to live in Istanbul as if a local Ottoman subject wearing fez, etc and visited this cafe often. It is said that Turkish people of that time loved him very much and that's why this cafe was named after him.

Wonerful to see you back!!!! I was missing your comments (and your posts of course) and worried about your long absence.

So now you restart - and with a French touch!

It's very reasonable not to promise any daily input, which means spending a lot of time. I may have it, but for someone who has other commitments (work, studies etc.), I guess it's too much to make it on a daily basis! I stop now at least for the weekends.

Now I look forward to follow your blog again - one of the first I visited when I got started this spring - and of course to your comments. I liked very much how you defended your country vs. Europe!

Seda, I believe you must visit some other blogs and advise that you are back! It's a pity if you blog and nobody knows about it.

Hi :)
I am very glad that you decided to continue again, and YES its very busy to 'keep a blog going' I did (and still do) that every day but its really 'like a job' and I am not even working! Anyway I like Turkye and therefore I was seaching for a blog about Turkye, if you like 2x a week, I am happy with that.

I might pehaps to do the same ( future music?) course I cannot sit all day behind the computer. But believe me the reactions are very helpfulle, to make ME refresh my blog daily. ( for now I say that)

So I hope that you wnat to visit my blog also? You're welcome,

:) JoAnn

I wanted to go there but didn't have enough time in the end. Anyway, save it for next time when we go there. :D

as a contribution: "havent you still visited Istanbul? i bet you will fall in love too:)"

böyle güzel fotoğraflar koymuşken fazladan bir iki teşvik cümlesi iyi gider herhalde:)

good to see you back posting -- don't worry about not being daily if you can't manage it - better to have quality than quantity so long as we get something fairly frequently.

*All photos can be used as long as reference is given
